Who's Who of Westeros

KING RHAEGEL TARGARYEN, “THE BLIND KING” (145 AC -- 190 AC)

Reigned from 160 AC to his death. Married to Cora Celtigar who gave him many children. Only three sons survived; Maelys, Maegor and Aegon. Had twin bastards by his own sister, Rhaena; Balerion and Aemon Waters. Waged war against the Dornish for many years before finally brokering peace by marrying his second son to a Princess of Dorne.

KING MAELYS TARGARYEN, “MAESTER MAELYS” (162 AC -- 196 AC)

Reigned from 190 AC to his death during the Blackfyre Rebellion (196 AC). Married Haera of Myr. Called “Maester Maelys” by many, for his scholarly, academic ways and “Meek Maelys” after his wife gave birth to a child widely accepted to be his brother’s bastard. He would be cut down by his half-brother, Balerion in the final battle of the Blackfyre Rebellion.

KING MAEGOR II TARGARYEN, “THE PUPPET KING” (163 AC -- 210 AC)

Reigned from 196 AC to 210 AC. Married Aliandra Martell who gave him several children, none of which would survive Winter. A gluttonous, lascivious man with a collection of mistresses and bastards. Once a great warrior, he would end his reign a fat, gout-ridden figurehead of a King. Maegor II would die shortly after the Great Tourney at Tumbleton, poisoned by the very Dragon's egg prize that he would've bestowed as prize. Haera of Myr was tried and convicted of the murder, resulting in her permanent exile from Westeros.

PRINCE AEGON IV TARGARYEN, “THE WANDERING DRAGON” (168 AC -- )

Left Westeros at the height of the ‘White Death’ in search of Valyrian artifacts and dragon eggs. Prince Aegon was said to be convinced that the return of dragons would thaw Winter and return his family to greatness. He has not been seen or heard from for several years.

QUEEN ALIANDRA MARTELL

Married Maegor II Targaryen in 181 AC. Their marriage is widely considered to have been an unhappy one and little more than a means to an end for a King who was desperate to bring Dorne under the Iron Throne. Her foul temper and rumors of poison has left Aliandra with a fearsome reputation. With her sudden death in 206 AC, there are many who think that Aliandra might have succumbed to her husband’s mistress, Haera of Myr.

BALERION AND AEMON BLACKFYRE ( 165 AC - 196 AC)

Illegitimate twin sons of Rhaegel and sister Rhaena Targaryen. Favored by their father and many at court. Later acknowledged and knighted by their father, with Balerion receiving the blade, Blackfyre. Upon the death of their father they were legitimised and took the name Blackfyre. Balerion would marry a woman of House Strickland and later raise his banner in rebellion against his half-brother, Maelys. He would be struck down by Maegor II at the final battle. Aemon flees Westeros, taking Blackfyre with him. He later forms the Golden Company.

CHILDREN OF BALERION - (AEMON, AEGON, HELAENA AND VAELLA) - (183 --186 AC) (27-24 YEARS OLD)

The three eldest children, taken as wards and held hostage by their Uncle, King Maegor II. Abused and belittled and with their name forbidden to be spoken.  These were to be Maegor’s insurance against Aemon’s threatened return to Westeros. One of the girls would be married off to a loyal bannerman of the King, the other locked into the Maidenvault to be forgotten. The boy was forced into the Kingsguard -- a decision which was portrayed as an act of forgiveness but effectively nullified the boys claim to the throne, which eventually resulted in his denounciation of said oaths in order to wed Vysena Waters. Aemon, however, would meet his untimely death at the hand of Aeron's orders when the Gold Cloaks, lead by Aemon, made their presence known in the waters just off the capitol.

DAEMON RIVERS (182 AC - 210 AC)

Born before Maegor took to the throne and arguably to his most beloved mistress, Ellyn Darry. Daemon would join his brother's newly-formed noble house and acquire the surname "Darkstone". In the Battle of King's Landing between the Crown and the might of the West under the leadership of Tytos Lannister, Daemon Darkstone would lead the Targaryen forces to victory. Named as Heir to the Iron Throne after the Great Council of 210, he would name is Hand of the King Osric Arryn and after Osric's death, his brother Aeron Darkstone. Before his coronation, however, he would die after a bridge over the Blackwater Rush collapsed.

KING AERON TARGARYEN [FORMERLY STONE] (186 AC - 212 AC)

Born to Jonella Grafton, Aeron Stone was raised at the court of his father, King Maegor II. His ambitions saw him rise to Lord Commander of the Goldcloaks, and after the death of his father he would be given lordship of Dragonstone and legitimized as noble. He had been deemed Aeron Darkstone, Lord of Dragonstone, and Hand of the King, and Lord Protector of the Realm until events led to him being named as King Aeron Targaryen, King of Westeros. Aeron wed Marleah Martell in a marriage that raised brows across the region. Though their marriage was short-lived, Marleah dying in a rebellion while tending to charitable deeds in Fleabottom, Marleah birthed twin sons to Aeron weeks prior to her death.

LIRAM STORM (192 AC - PRESENT) TOOK THE BLACK

Born to Della Penrose, Liram Storm was a staple in the leisurely knightly jousts and tournaments, earning him fame. He refused to take his brother's name of Darkstone and was sent to the Wall in 210 AC after attempting to storm the throne room and proclaim himself Heir to the Throne.

VYSENA BLACKFYRE nee WATERS (192 AC - PRESENT)

Born to Maelys’ Queen, Haera of Myr and declared a bastard after overwhelming evidence of her mother’s affair with Prince Maegor II. Exiled to Summerhall until the age of 13, she returned to court along with her mother where she remain under the care and protection of her brothers. She was wed in a private, and controversial to some, ceremony to Aegon Blackfyre who had been released from his vows to the Kingsguard in an previously unheard of move by King Aeron and named Lord of Blackfyre Keep.
